Really nice place near the lake. Very crowded in July, beach and camping. Camping lots are rather small. Clean facilities, quiet at night. Friendly staff, good food at the restaurant- but not that friendly waiters. Sunset is at 8.45pm but kitchen closes at 9pm… so no dessert after 9 😕 …

Perfect camping in a beautiful location. The mobile homes are clean and well equipped. The restaurant is cultured, the service is perfect and the pizza is yummy. We'll be back here another time.
Nice camp with full of trees, generally very quiet except we got a place near a road, but the noise from cars was bearable. The size of the camp is just about right, not too big but having everything in place (restaurant, playing corners for kids etc). The beach is very pretty and the lake itself beatiful.
This was a lovely little campsite right on the lake with beautiful views of u get the right pitch, with other pitches being in the shade of pine trees. ||We were there while it was raining quite hard so the roads around the site and grass …
A nice clean camp, very organized, on lakeshore. Decent. But judging by the number of Slovenian guests, and considering this is a mixed Slovenian-Austrian speaking territory, we found it strange that the camp staff refused to understand a single word of the language...
Later when we explored the surroundings we found out that Slovenian natives are reluctant, afraid to speak their own language. It would be interesting to see the reactions if a German speaking tourist in a Slovenian tourist resort was to be treated the same way.
Strandcamping Gruber is a great, family-friendly place to spend a few summer hours, days or even weeks on the beautiful Faaker See.
The facilities and grounds are clean and abundant. Amenities include parking, a cafe/restaurant and snack bar, bathrooms, showers and multiple playgrounds. Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable.
This is my family's favorite place to spend a day on the lake, and we've met other families who've spent weeks at the campground every year for more than thirty years.
As for some years now, I attend this campground on the occasion of the European Bike week rally held in the first days of September ... I have to say that the camping staff is friendly and helpful in helping out for any eventuality and information may need.
The pitches are partly determined by pitches numbered in the shade and with parking space ... and partly free, near the lake in the grassy area ... the cleaning of the bathrooms is quite frequent.
The only thing that I report is not positive are basically the prices of food and drinks that can be bought inside the bar ... because they are higher than the average...Although I believe this is a common custom during peak periods on the occasion of the rally motorcycles....In any case it is fair to say that the prices for the pitch are good and that all in all the assessment is positive and that in the coming years I will definitely return ... I advise you to consider this place, even for the excellent location during the european bike week
